A Mother’s Day Treat From Micki Moore

She’s done TV, movies, radio and print, but Micki Moore says her biggest achievement is as a mother.
The cohost of Doctor, Doctor (Global/Life Network) was a “single mom for a lot of years and there were times when I just hung on by the seat of my pants.
“As a working mother, I had to figure out new ways to do things,” she says. “I used to shop once a month and then freeze 60 burgers and a dozen cooked chickens so I didn't have to worry about what to cook for dinner. My son still cringes at the thought of frozen food.” Between interviewing health experts for her show, writing radio, magazine and newspaper columns and acting in movies, Moore still has little time for cooking, “so I still count on quick meals from my freezer.”
The bulk of her diet is made up of fish, chicken, vegetables and complex carbohydrates and she stays away from sweets and fatty foods. however, she does treat herself to this strawberry gelatin fruit mold once in a while.C. Lee Crawford Back to top
